::poetry from paragraphs::

by Bethany Lee

"your halcyon language
is warmth to me,
like a towel straight
from the dryer
to welcome you
out of the shower...
steam in both circumstances..."

She was writing in her seductive script -
long flowing lines,
curling at the tips,
her "L"'s and "Y"'s
enveloping me in liquidwaves.
her perfectly round "O"s
pulling my tides
with the velocity
of the gravity
of the moon.

beautiful. i can really see it. it always amazes me how some of the most mundane things can be turned to seductive use.
