tomymotherinlaw

by Lisa-Dawn Sparling

You said to me when Kelly died,
That mothers should go first.
then you held me and we cried,
watering an emotional thirst.

The pain still raw after five years,
But we keep remembering his life,
Beautiful memories through all the tears,
A bond between his mother and his wife.

Thank you for giving me your son,
To cherish, nurture and love,
When I met Kelly my life begun,
And he still inspires me from above.
I am grateful you were his mother,
for loving us in the good and in the bad,
you loved him like no other,
and treated me like the daughter you never had.

It's beautiful, but I can feel you want to mold it some more, so won't rate for now...
