Tiger lily

by Julie Adams

I rest in the bosom
of love, my lily pad
humming the chorus
of a grasshopperÂ’s choir
under the waning moon

the water grass combs
worries from my hair
as I lay into the shore
content between
water and land
where the tide of love
washes upon me

like every peeking amber sun
and naked evening moon
I bathe in, breathe in
her Tiger-lily pollen

remembering to
never forget
the nature of love

Cathartic poetry, Jewels. This is an intricately articulated expose on both the love of nature and 'the nature of love'. Good stuff. Peace...
