Neroli

by Melina Raven Maness Diebold

Never spoke an oath

except that time I promised the sun I'd give her flowers

Raining her golden grace to coax the blooms to full splendor

over the battle-scarred, tornado-torn grounds

Loosing each noose around each nectared seed

I love the days of mid-May

Author's Note: really don't know why I wrote this, but it just came to me and I had to write it down or I'd forget it.

You have fashioned an alluring acrostic poem, Melina. It holds a wonderful positive message filled with opportunity. Peace...
