To my Mom on Mother's Day

by Mary Ellen Smith

Happy Mother’s Day Mom.
Over a rainbow and past the skies
Where only the spirit can fly.
I send this note to you

I want to tell you once again
What a beautiful mother you were.

You were always my best friend.

I miss your sweet smile
I miss your Windsong.

I miss your curly head
And soft cheek

I hope as a child I grabbed your face
And planted enough kisses there.

Collected enough dandelion bouquets.

Gave you enough peanut butter and jelly hugs.

I love you still and forever.

Until I see you again,
Happy Mother’s Day.

Love,
Mary Ellen

A very sweet and tender tribute. This just brings a big smile to the face and heart.
