Hindered by Charles J HannanSlowly in forward motion
Always seeming to stumble along the way
Mezmerized by beautiful things
Stopping for the flowers
That grow along the road
Then a bee stings
With mighty aim
On toward destination
Limping
A little slower than slow
Enthralled by a lovely day
Stopping to take in the warm spring air
Then it rains
With mighty force of nature
Crawling on bloodied hands and knees
Barely
Seemingly moving backwards
Engulfed by a vision of a spectacular future
Stopping to glance behind me
Then I get passed by
With life dangling just out of reach
