invisible

by Cymbre Dolphay

this is all I am to you
a raging spirit
that's screaming at you
a crazed accusation
that is unjust and cruel
but this is only my love
finally rebelling against it's chains

would that I could hate you
loathe you beyond compare
and have my disgust returned
but you don't know I exist
my silence is what you don't see
it is what craves attention
the part that longs for compassion

if I died for you
would you still ignore me
the life I cherish so
forfeit for your happiness
why should you suffer
the pain of my presence

I would sacrifice my soul
because only then
would I no longer endure
your indifference

The craving is so well pronounced in no uncertain terms.
