Crazy Moon

by Amanda Conlogue

It's late. too late.
I should be sleeping.
There's no moon tonight,
hidden from me
amongst pregnant clouds.
Tomorrow the sky delivers.

I shouldn't be
thinking about you
or whether or not
you are awake
thinking about me.

This is cause for madness
and there is no moon out
to blame it on.

Not a star in sight, the sky
stares down at me blankly.
It gives no answer.
