Nine Eleven

by Thomas K. Hunt

We’ll never let them win
They dropped our ashes to the ground
Our spirits fly with the wind
No they’ll never bring us down
We are a person formed by many
A people formed into one
Our cause is for freedom
And to share the next days sun
We will fight the cowardly demons
That lay destruction at our feet
We will destroy this ugly evil
That kills, maims, and cheats
Though towers may have fallen
Our spirit will take flight
No one may ever steal
Our God given rights
So let your mind reflect
On nine eleven today
Show our heroes their respect
The ones that led the way
We’ll keep our freedom ringing
Just the way it’s meant to be
And keep our children singing
My country ‘tis of thee

A touching tribute to so many gone. This is a nice moment not of silence, but of honor. Thanks for that.

I can only add my agreement to what has already been said...a stirring tribute of honor.
