American girl by Vikki OwensSo what are you?
Some pretty girl with haloed hair
and a skinny waist?
Hung like meat on a hook?
Danglebaby.
I know you. I am you.
Only darkerminded.
Inside more rotten
than everyother american girl.
Still, my eyes are painted,
whereas the sun is in yours
mine are dull with
disease, and I speak with a
stutter.
Faintly.

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 05/08/03 at 01:30 AM Human mind is the same every where. Its the geography and the culture which draws the dividing line. The problem is always that of imposing WHAT SHOULD BE without knowing WHAT IS which is always pregnant with WHAT SHOULD BE. You know what is. You have depicted it so well. |
