October Ocean

by Derek Gregory

Quite fall day
A slight chilled breeze
Bearing down
The kids play throwing sand
Our feet touch
We push the sand high and loose
Creating delicate walls
The water rumbles slowly
Towards the castle and moat
I see happiness
I know it won’t last
The smell of the surf brings
memories of summers’ past
When I thought nothing
could ever go wrong

Nice little poem, i guess we can all relate to those times (before things went bleak)
