Sappy Love Poem #1

by J. P. Davies

Find Me where
the silent stream runs
there I await the coming
of one who was foretold to me
a vision of light cast for me
No shadow can mar her
no darkness quench her flame
she is unbridled loveliness
sewn from flickers and darts
her passion is a wave
unchecked to the shore
laying waste and destruction
of a most terrible and beautiful kind
she is neither solid nor mist
she is elemental and fierce
a hurricane yet a breeze
a contradiction self-contained
in the most pure and innocent body
Calling me into her with a soft voice
which cannot be denied
I am powerless to resist her
her whiles are grandiose and splendid
her appeal unquestionable
I am consumed in her flame
and lost forever...

Author's Note: Urgh...how does this drivel escape me...
