Masterpiece

by Christel Crews

The instruments are being tuned
in preparation for the Master's Hand
A masterpiece is to be heard
Much preparation is coming to a head

The settling in and one last breath
the wings expand to soar
The Master's craftmanship is now at hand
To lift into a heavenly place

The members tremble and follow
each and every stroke of the Master's Hand

Author's Note: This is a weird one, I'll admit that. This is based on an analogy that I heard: we follow one God, one man, and he guides us through the ups and downs of life... He is the Master Worker, and we are clay in his hands to mold into whatever and wherever he leads... its a work in progress

I enjoyed this so much. You would like one of my favorite poems over the years-"Touch of the Master's Hand". Jane
