Rose Petal Tears

by Holly H Dunne

Have you ever watched a rose cry?
Silk velvet petals flutter and die
How many tears can fall from one rose?
How can something so beautiful have so many woes?
When the tears have been cried, no more left to weep
The rose bows its head, quietly falls asleep
Maybe in a forest I will find a place to lie
Where upon me will rain tears all the pretty roses cry

I wonder if the rose becomes conscious of its weeping, would it seem beautiful? Isn't life worth living for, because there's a rose, even if I do not find a place where all the tears can wash off my anger?
