Red With The Hood by Kate DemereeRed with the Hood 10/14/2000 By: Kathleen L. Reynolds
What had she been thinking Walking in that wood
The wind was so chilly And she only had her hood.
Then there was the basket
Filled with all that food. The chick wasnt bad man But the basket
that smelled Good!
It seemed like she was lost there He thought hed take a chance
If he did not get breakfast Perhaps hed get romance.
He asked a simple question And received a cool rebuff Even in the woodlands Getting dates was tough
Seems she has a schedule that She is bound to keep
She wants to get to grandmas Before grandma goes to sleep.
He offers her some company
She demurely answers no. He thinks okay to himself For a short cut I do know
He hurried off to Grandmas house Of her he made short work Then on with the nightgown Attention to detail hed not shirk
When she knocked upon the door He could feel himself drool Oh
Come in My Dear (This was way to cool)
For every question that she asked He had a quick reply After all our wolfy friend Was an up and coming guy
He could have made it in the end If not for the woodsmans ax The moment that he saw him
He started making tracks
While running through the gate Without a backwards look
He thought, Oh, well theres still the pig Who lives beside the brook The End?! Perhaps
