Who Knows

by J. P. Davies

Life can be damn confusing
a strangely connected
web of events that
affects our very personalities

A gross mystery that will never be
completely and utterly solved
I find myself finding insight
in the strangest of places
and never where I looked for it

So I say "Show me the world!!"
give me life to the fullest
every day is an adventure
when you bound out the front door

Who knows who you may meet
what may happen to you
It may be the best or worst day
of your entire life but
at least you're out there
living it

Take every bloody chance
because when all the opportunities
are gone the last word on your lips
better not be REGRET

So kiss who you feel like
dance when you want to
sing aloud if you get the urge
DAMMIT JUST LIVE!!!

this poem flows right through the end, now i want to run around outside skipping! yay! quite inspiring - i think the prosaic language suits to whip up that fire

i like the last stanza sans the last line, although if it was tapered it might work as well. hm. never regret.
