Visions

by J. P. Davies

I see eternity
and all the possibilities
when I take that look
deep into your eyes

I see you there naked
but not ashamed
your love pours from
almond eyes tranquil and still

I look there to find
all I need to hear
and all is not left unsaid
just unvoiced

When we connect on
planes of vision
we lock into each other
lost and adrift

The world disappears
when I gaze into
those jewels of eternity
and I am lost

So when you look back
into my eyes and I tell you
everything between us
believe every unspoken word

I found something there
in pools of shining crystal
that makes me feel like a window
opening just for you

I like the "naked, but not ashamed" part. I understand it. that part and the third and second to last stanzas really hit me. Good job
