you talked about me
asked around
to gain my name
to claim me for your own.
You never stopped
until I was safe in your arms
you were relentless
I loved it.
Later on
it seems you forgot
the way you used to love me.
forgot to call
forgot to write
forgot about the girl you loved.
And so I waited
and Wished
and Prayed
that tomorrow you'd find me again.
I was lost at the time.
When you never remembered
that's when I really left.
I stopped staring at your feet
I rose my chin
I looked around
and found someone else.
And now here you are
back again
when I guess you never really left
I'm still in love you
almost unfortunately.
You've changed again
things are brightening up
and suddenly I can remember your face,
only you waited too long
and I've fallen
apart
away from you
and in love with another.
Do you know ?
Either way
it seems now you've come
to an 8-week mad dash
to re-tame the girl
you took for granted
to reclaim
what I'm not sure
is entirely yours
anymore.
