Gentle Streams

by John Ilotan

Come with me
through the gate
when you're tired
when it's late

Fly with me
on crystal wings
from the pain
this world can bring

Take my hand
hold on fast
we'll visit dreams
we thought had past

My dreams come true
but just in dreams
so tears slide down
in gentle streams

See the world
through my eyes
and learn that life
is all sweet lies

Some poetry is timeless, I think this is one.
