suffusively she

by Indigo Tempesta

infrequently, i love her. suffusively, i put on her skin. snugly.
she is me. she is colors, light infecting me, light and laughter and moonshine.

blue eyes, copper hair, she is me, she is me; she is everyone else but herself.

vivid dance she flies through joys, vividly aware and in love. she makes us smile

and shake our heads—she makes us hold her in our dreams. she makes us cry.

living, my indelicate silent bright cheeks and sunset halo, oh singing she calls us to the revival

and will not come back herself.
