Snapshot

by Kate Demeree

Snapshot

She sat in the middle of the sunlit field
One tiny hand outstretched
The sun shinning golden and bright upon her hazel head
As she stretched with all her might in a vain attempt
To capture the lone butterfly
It flitted first one way and then another
Entrancing the child, who captivated the mother

Great poem, Kate. Reminds me of the old song "I Chase the Bright, Elusive Butterfly of Love." Also, great photo of you...Jack :)
