Seven Years by Amy NiggelSo it happened,
seven years ago,
today,
Thirty one days from today,
months ago,
and months between then and now,
Seven years ago,
and look at the world now
how different
for its lack of those ones
so much different
for its replacement of them with new ones.
Seven years ago,
and look at me now,
so much the same
so much different
finally free.
Nightmeres still
though no where near as often.
Seven Years ago
and look at what I have to show for it
not much
and yet so much
i am alive
i AM alive!
I am alive!!
i am ALIVE!!!
Seven years,
since the world last crashed into the sun
and came to a crashing hault in its endless spinning.
and in Seven years the world changed
and in seven years I changed.
What a difference that time can make. 04/21/2003 Author's Note: Seven years on time borrowed from the world and still not ready to give it up yet.
