Unfaithful (haiku collaboration) by Trisha De GraciaWe lie as we lay
entwined in eachother, to
wait for forgiveness.
Our sins are to be
forgiven by god, so we
fuck nameless faces.
Commitment is dull
and tears go on unnoticed
evaported.
Sparks feed the fire
flames go on ever higher
to consume the whores.
Raw passion and lust
Love is unnecessary
morals, confining.
Corrupting our sons
it is killing our daughters
promiscuity.
The normalizing
the desensitization of
meaningless sex acts. 04/17/2003 Posted on 04/18/2003 Copyright © 2024 Trisha De Gracia

Posted by Richard Vince on 04/18/03 at 05:10 PM very potent. marvellous. and other words that say that it's probably the best poem i've read in a very long time. |
Posted by J. P. Davies on 04/21/03 at 06:42 AM This one hits me...so well done. I keep forgetting I'm reading haikus...often the most clumsy of poetry for some people this is almost flawless |
