struck silent

by Rachelle Howe

it's been too long
since the words flowed
like they used to.
i was once able to
weave vivid pictures
with syllables and
punctuation
but all that has changed
since your nails dug into
my throat,
stealing my most prized posession:
my voice.

there's always something to write about - even if it's only 'writer's block'...(only?) =D

Rachelle, Congratulations on POTD! Don't we all hate writer's block. I enjoyed reading this descriptive poem about the topic. Good work!

God knows I hate it too. Congrulations on POTD, hon.

this little block of writing of the writers' block is just the cork popping - may the bubbly rise soon.
