of walking down the street

of having friends
of different ethnicities,
not because it's trendy,
but because they are my friends.
i will not be ashamed
to say that we are all racist
if we think that we are
white, black, asian, hispanic, portuguese, italian...
we are human.

...and that is all we ever will be. 04/13/2003 Author's Note: i believe that if we continue to separate ourselves into categories, we'll never be able to accept others in those categories different from ours. we are human.
