Ashamed

by Christel Crews

You knew where to pry
You knew what to say
You would have your way
In a matter of days

You pushed my convictions
You made me think twice
And when I said No
Your smile grew so nice

You played with my mind
You played with my heart
Even though I did not
want to take part

A thief you became
for it did not end
if you were game
I said No

But now I hang my head in shame.
