Room for Doubt

by Thomas K. Hunt

Distant but so close together
The motions just happen each day
Insgnificant but not to each other
Life is just passing our way

The unknown of another
Greener grass just out of reach
The fears of being smothered
Do we practice what we preach?

We are one within our resolve
We are two beyond the fold
We are lost within a love
We are destined to grow old

Do we follow the traditions?
Settle in, hold our ground?
Or do we opt to change positions?
Break this oath in which we're bound?

There is love that last forever
Some are in and some are out
I don't believe in never
There's always room for doubt
