The Dress

by Amy Niggel

The fabric moved so elegantly,
swayed with every step,
it hung perfectly,
a pale silver blue
I will never forget it
it was the most beautiful dress I had ever seen
and its wearer the most extrodinary beauty,
the makeup was done perfectly,
the hair never slipped
no matter where the body went
and the body went everywhere,
the heels were gorgeous
and the stockings perfect, no runs anywhere,
and all I could think was
damn why can't I look that good in those clothes?
But I guess that is the luxury of being a beautiful man
when you got it flaunt it
and if you don't
then create it.
I got lost somewhere in the glamor of it all,
he was just utterly beautiful
the picture of feminimity
I always wondered what it was supposed to look like.
