| Posted by Leslie Ann Eisenberg on 07/13/06 at 12:45 AM i actually agree with you, jack. :)) in my view, "the writing itself" applies to form AND content. i was referring to critique of the author, not the content of his work....we should not assume to know the author's mind, just as we should not assume that poems here are all autobiographical....i prefer to critique the poem. perhaps a good subject for the forums or PM ;) PK |
