Many many years ago
when life was far different
a man lived
he was unlike any other
kind,
gentle,
caring,
But there were those
who feared Him
such a man was He
that men were frightened
He may collapse
all they had worked for
a poor carpenter's son
a young man
this is what they were afraid of
No,
they were afraid
that He was gaining power,
that He was gaining influence,
they chose one of His own
to betray Him
to bring Him to them
never to fully understand what he had done
sould out his best friend
to a pack of frightened wolves
the wolves wanted
to be rid of the shepherd
so the sheep would be lost
But He wouldn't let that happen
Poor carpenter's son,
single man
He made the ultimate sacrifice
for His sheep
for His flock
for His Father
for each of us
for all this
this man,
this Jesus of Nazareth
for all this He died.

Author's Note: Yeah this was written after watching Jesus Christ Superstar one too many times, I do not claim to know how to quote the bible but this is the way I remember thinking about the stories that used to be in my bible stories book. so uh yeah I think that is about it.
