(untitled) maybe it's the way we mutilate eachother...

by Olivia Weinkein

maybe it's the way we mutilate eachother
with words
when we think
that noone can see us.
i don't know about you
but i am never as alone
as i seem to think i am. and we become
casualties in our own parade, reckless
and lacking of everything our mothers
had to teach us
over and over again. please &
thank you and lastly, that hardest one,
the one that shifts everything into a
different perspective from my eyes
to yours:
I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I love the fist line "maybe it's the way we mutilate eachother" .It's very introspective, nice work Olivia, a first rate poem.

i do believe fate has led me back to you once more via select 'randomly'. my fav line in this is 'i'm never as alone as i think i am'. this one hits the spot

painful, biting, remorse. "i don't know about you but i am never as alone as i seem to think i am. and we become casualties in our own parade, reckless and lacking of everything our mothers had to teach us" yes.
