Thankyou

by Michelle Calhoun

I thankyou my dear Adrian,
for never giving up on me.
I am still a work in progress,
not the angel that you see.
My halo's bent and broken,
sometimes upheld by hidden horns.
I often think my golden blonde hair
is merely covering up the thorns.
I know I don't always respect you,
or love you like I should.
But I can honestly say that after eleven years,
the test of time, we have withstood.
My wings are singed with soot,
for I have flown to close to the flame.
But that was my own stubborn self
there is no one else to blame.
I vow to you right now,
to love you with ALL my heart.
I promise to do this forever
like I should have from the very start.

Well, better late than never they say LOL. Lord knows I am not an easy person to love, nor am I a patient person, so you have had your hands full to say the least. I love this poem, full of emotion, heartfelt sentiment, and the tie ins are very cool. I love you with all my heart Forever and Always XOXOXO

I think I am going to sit right down and cry... this is so lovely and loving! Wow..... I feel very much a voyer *smile*.. in the nicest sort of way, like I just saw a husband and wife exchange one of those looks there are no words for... Beautiful!
