**VASE** by Lisa-Dawn SparlingVase,
So fragile and so beautiful.
I remember when you broke,
Someone slammed the door
And
you
fell
Off the table and shattered.
I tried my best to glue you back together.
Each day finding a new piece,
Gently, delicately gluing.
Years later you are back together,
And to some you are still a perfect vase,
But if you look closely you can see
The scars in the seams
And little pieces that are still missing
Pieces that are irreparable.
Vase,
Still so fragile and still so beautiful.
