So Many Dreams

by Thomas K. Hunt

So many dreams
What part of them are true
I dream of days that pass
I dream in color, do you?
Dreams that are so vivid, like stepping through a door
Dreams that when you wake make you hunger for more
Dreams without sleep happen for me and for you
A constant dream of dreaming
That all your dreams come true
A waking dream that's fading
Only fragments pierce the mind
Some are gone forever
Clinging to the back of time
So many dreams that aren't alone
Each of us has dreams of our own
Millions of dreams pass through the mind
Most impossible to confine
So many dreams remain untrue
So many dreams lost for me and you
