open you

by Emily G Myers

you can't feel
you can't feel
I want to open you
look inside
find a soul
or something
anything
inside of you
you can't feel
my problems
are foreign to you
because they involve
emotion
something you don't understand
and you'll never see
I want you to see
look at me
and just know
but you'll never know
you can't feel
and when I close my eyes
there is no hope
I touch your chest
finding not a bit of passion
no drive
you tell me to look life in the eye
then you run from your own heart
how can I possibly go on
knowing you can't feel?
I want to open you
prove myself wrong
find something inside

prove me wrong

I read this and only one word comes to mind: patience.

another excellent piece "my problems are foreign to you because they involve emotion" How I can relate...I think we sometimes feel that no one cares and that they have no soul....Keep up the great work!
