The Mirror and I

by Sam Roberts

Vision can see only the elusive splendour
Of a girl and all of her wonder, her loveliness and her indescribable glamour
Yet I fail to appreciate their dream of me
As my reflection shows nothing else but tattered beauty.
I want to weep uncontrollably to their reasoning
“You are amazing, you are lovely, you touch my soul with your…”
Shut up, I say.
Don’t flatter me.

We fight constantly,
The mirror and I

This is so true...but I am not a girl...oh don't get into a fist fight with it because then it will multiply. Then you're screwed! ;) Nice job well done.
