Perfect Imperfection

by Jared Winkler

What you claim
What you are
Things you've done
Who you've scarred

I'm the new
an open wound
Hate to be him
I'd tell you soon

But no I won't
It hurts too much
To know you don't
And him you touch

I'm not scared
To see that dark side
that makes you scared
That makes you hide

It's not your fault
I feel this way
You pour your salt
But by you I stay

I love the pieces
Broken as they are
My hand reaches
But they are way too far

I'll never hold you
Calling you mine
This fact is true
So I'll keep in line

Won't tell you,
bother you,
inconvenience you...
Perfect you.

I'll just write
The way I feel
Emotions, I'll fight
Even cap with a seal.
