Things I've Learned at Age 14 by Trisha De GraciaThings I've learned at age 14:
True Mormons are NOT all crazy
Religion is NOT the same as having faith.
Old People aren't wise just because they are old.
People are just big, gorey red masses in multicoloured wrappers.
Rapunzel was too caught up in the "prince, come save me" thing that she didn't realize that all she had to do was tie her hair to the top of the tower and climb down herself.
If a guy is acting like a jerk, he is one: thats how you tell.
Yes, the metal staple in the teabag CAN wreak havoc on your microwave.
Tampons are nothing to be ashamed of.
Nothing pops up if you send the chainletter to 300 of your friends then press alt f5 while holding space.
Young children aren't afraid to speak the truth.
Most grown ups are.
Bullying a person is like being on a swing: sure, when you kick the ground you fly a little, but eventually, you'll just fall flat on your face. Besides, you go alot higher when someone helps you.
God, Jesus, Messiah, Nature and Buddha all basically represent the same thing.
If you ever send your opinion in to the newspaper, be prepared for it to be edited, cut, re-worded, typo'ed and so on to the point where you end up looking like an idiot.
If you don't love yourself, eventually no one else will.
And the final and most recent one:
If you write a poem that you think is brilliant, it is. Take constructive criticism and use it ONLY IF YOU WANT TO. Anything destructive is not worth your time. In the end, the person most likely to remember your beautiful work is you. Make it count to that person, first and fore-most.
