A criminal

sitting alone in a room
bleeding profusely from a long gash
and emotional wounds
waits...

A woman enters
first sees a criminal,
sees the wounds,
the long painful cut
then sees the blood and tears
of another human being
like her.
She holds a single needle to his face
so that he can see his own fate.
