The robins came out today,
and brought with them the warm spring breeze
the lover I had missed so many months,
so out of the mothballs
came the short skirt
and the tank tops
And I walk brazenly through this male filled world
knowing full well what spring means to them
mating season
and the breeze touches my skin
cool enough to cover it with goose bumps,
warm enough to entice
it moves the soft fabric of my skirt,
presses against my thighs,
runs its fingers over areas untouched by human hands,
places those males watch intently knowing the wind has access they never might,
and the wind brings with it the spring sun,
warm and enveloping
gentle and caressing,
making me long for the rougher,
the more passionate sun
that will come with the summer's heat.
And I walk
in my short skirt,
and my tank top
feeling those males' eyes
feeling the spring sun,
feeling the spring breeze,
and feeling alive
