pyromania

by Olivia Weinkein

you said to come back down
that you could save me
you looked beneath so many rocks
and yet you couldn't find me
i was never above you or below
but you were always inside me
scratching your way out, my eyes,
your teeth. and i swore i wouldn't
cry again but you need to get your
foot off of me. and yes, i told
you that i was not so fragile that
i could break but to what extreme
will you go to measure how much
is too much when everything about
this is never enough for me. your
absence, my fumbling. pictures speak
a thousand words so i choose not to
look. i will burn it all away instead.

your feelings for me aren't the only
thing thats dead.

i'm also a 'you' user. second person is my world. i think it's because i have so much to say to someone else.
