Enough

by Vikki Owens

Enough movement
enough sway
mouthful teeth like glittering
stars
enough smooth skin to canvas
to sew
to save me nine stitches
bones to mend ever mending
like never
never ending
roadways
and endless miles
to go now

before I sleep
now
away the hours of fingerprints
on flesh
a session
of sweet homage and epiphany
effigy
on a bed of satin
to stain
all these sheets so red-enough
