dazed

by Rhyana Fisher

walls, walls
too many walls
lost in a maze of walls

walls of words
collapsing, burying
protective walls
stout, unyielding
all formed with bricks
of pain remembered
all coated with the graffiti
of a million ugly thoughts

knock one down
to find three others
stronger, higher
more imprisoning
than the last
the way back blocked
by rebuilt walls
thicker than before

so tired of too many walls
where's a damned door when you need one?

Author's Note: better concluding line, may change it again tho.

Yikes! You made me claustrophobic! Good imagery and you definitely enforced the helpless feel with the words. Nice job.
