Colors by Becca MortonMy Eyes are bluish, greenish, teal like the ocean waters.
My skin is tannish, goldish, white, like our wall paint colors.
My hair is auburn, brownish, red, like Montgomery tan.
So, my nails might be royal blue like the big blue whale.
But, all the colors I have inside, I know you have them too,
So in some sorta, kinda way, I look just like you. 06/21/2001 Author's Note: This is so weird to put all this stuff in here. This poem I actually wrote a few years back - but it was my first poem and I guess I wanted to put it in here!!

Posted by Stephanie Kent on 03/12/03 at 09:00 PM I think it's clever, how everything isn't strictly one color. Good job! |

Posted by Ken Harnisch on 03/31/03 at 03:34 PM i always believed our very first poems say more than we think...because they begin to illumiante the poetry within us that will follow....this one does that very nicely Becca... |
