Colors

by Becca Morton

My Eyes are bluish, greenish, teal like the ocean waters. My skin is tannish, goldish, white, like our wall paint colors. My hair is auburn, brownish, red, like Montgomery tan. So, my nails might be royal blue like the big blue whale. But, all the colors I have inside, I know you have them too, So in some sorta, kinda way, I look just like you.

Author's Note: This is so weird to put all this stuff in here. This poem I actually wrote a few years back - but it was my first poem and I guess I wanted to put it in here!!

Interesting work. Maybe tidy up the presentation, so it's easier to read though. Good for a 'first'. :) Coincidentally, one of my first poems was also about colors, although mine was much more morbid. -Mina

I think it's clever, how everything isn't strictly one color. Good job!

i always believed our very first poems say more than we think...because they begin to illumiante the poetry within us that will follow....this one does that very nicely Becca...
