A Whole New World

by Becca Morton

I remember when we were little,
How we would sing that song.
You promised you’d be here forever,
I guess those days are gone.
You told me we’d go there together,
Hand in hand, one step at a time,
But it just had to happen,
And take you for all of time.
The streets are supposedly made of gold,
The houses and buildings out of Jewels.
I bet you have the time of your life,
Just for following the rules.
I try not to be impatient,
I know my time will come,
But we’ll be reunited,
Together again at last,
I guess it’s the thought of something new,
That makes my heart beat fast.
I guess I’ll just have to wait to be,
In that whole new world with you.

wow..i'm sorry that such a sweet tribute had to be written to a great friend because of such a mindless tragedy....welcome to Pathetic, anyway, Becca
