Iraqnophobia

by Jersey D Gibson

An old Wild West showdown,
in the Middle East;
two gunslingers in the desert sun
pamarading off.

Saddam's has his hand on his belt,
but is their a gun in that holster?
Bush has got a bazooka aimed at him,
but the scope is French-made.

They squint at each other,
in that dusty place.
The sun finally sinking,
the bells' last toll soon ringing.

Who will be left standing afterwards,
five years later?

Yeah, good title. Thought filled piece. However, I don't think much of anything will be left standing in five years. Good thinking Jersey.
