Tears, little drops,
falling from your eyes,
falling from my eyes,
for you,
over you,
just drops of water
such a waste
really how horrid!
To use so much
of somethings others need desperately
so why cry?
It takes so much energy
all the thought in your mind
in my mind
because of you
because of your words
so much waste
how dare we use
a precious energy source
when the world needs one?
so why cry?
Such an emotional drain
so much time devoted
so much of your heart devoted
so much of my life devoted
to you
to us
how can we squander these
precious things?
when everyone needs love?
so why cry?
I'll tell you why
because it is more
more than water!
more than energy!
more than emotions!
crying is a release
a means to an end
a way to express
beyond words
what we,
as humans
as men, as women,
as animals,
as mortal beings,
go through in this life!
it is not a waste
it is a greatly needed force!
tears express joy
they ease pain,
they let someone know that you know
what they are going through,
you feel for them,
you suffer with them,
So cry on if you want to,
you should never be
ashamed,
or afraid
or guilty
or ridiculed
for crying
because whether or not
they like to admit it,
all people have cried
and rightly so
it is one bond that
all mankind can share.
We should be able to
cry on each others shoulders
no one has to be strong.
So let the guard down
admit something long denied.
and cry!
cry tears to cleanse,
your heart
your soul
yourself!
Then smile
because once you have learned
that you are human
that you are a person
and that you can cry!
Then you can be complete.
So why cry?
Because you can!!!
Because God gave you tearducts
and the ability to control them
at least once and a while,
You may just find
that you are a better person
for it.
So next time you are
overjoyed
or scared
or sad
don't hold back,
let the tears flow,
and if anyone asks you
'why do you cry?'
ask them why they do not,
as your fellow man
they should share your life
your joy, your fright, and your pain.
Call that person brother
and hold them to you
let them know,
even if you don't
that someone is there
for them.
Tell them you cry
not for yourself
but for them,
for thier question,
for thier inability
to grasp that human link,
that bond between all
of Adam and Eve's line.
THen give them your tears
share your story,
let them cry with you,
for you,
over you,
Tears are never wasted.
For each tear bares a weight,
holds a story,
has a tag to something,
a tie to someone,
and if those teasrs are shared,
they bind you ever closer
to your brothers and sisters
in this human race.
Why cry?
because you are human
and it is part of who you are.
Cry each day
if for no other reason
than the sheer beauty
of this earth,
or the power of
the human mind to reason,
or the capacity of
the human heart to love.
Cry for no other reason
than to have somone,
out of the blue,
a perfect stranger,
ask of you
WHY CRY?
