Paper Clown

by Charles E Minshall

I try to write
As paper clown,
To cause a smile
To erase a frown.

But some frowns I find
Will not erase,
They've been too long
On mind or face.

A brilliantly succint and wonderful expression here Charles. So much said in such few well chosen words. Excellent!

No clowning around you have made a very observant statement about humankind.

Boy..ain't that the truth! - I think some folks would have to sleep with a coat hanger in their mouth just to wake up with a smile on their face! - We jesters can only jest so much..then if the folks don't want to brighten up...we need to move on before they bring us down! - RCat
