God Bless You Mr. Rogers

by Mary Ellen Smith

A gentle man, a gentle spirit
Left this Earth today.
His life's work will leave a mark
Whereever children play.

God bless you Mr. Rodgers
For your kind and soothing touch.
You walked in love in the neighborhood.
Where you'll be missed so much.

Still yet when thinking of your passing
One can't help but grin.
For after all these years down here
We know now who's neighborhood you're in.

A remarkable man to whom you give wonderful tribute. He will live in the hearts of many for a long time I do believe.

I do believe you captured the spirit of the man perfectly Mary. A few more people like him in this world sure would make a difference.
