shade of gray

by Cymbre Dolphay

rain falls steadily around her
the only thing to touch her now
a never wavering torrent
her heart has died
and somehow her body survived
that is all she is
a fading image of what was
when once she lived
and her life
was filled with sunlight
but now she that was
shall never be seen here again
for no matter how long she cries
it cannot change the past
nor will it ease the pain

This is a melancholy peice. I am saddened now. You seem to connect emotions well in your work.
